European Unemployment up in Jan

The figures just came out today.  So Eurozone unemployment is now almost 12% on an average basis, and still climbing.

  1. Whether anyone totally buys Shadowstat's numbers, I think most people agree that the government systematically undercounts unemployment.

I guess my question is, does Europe figure it more realistically? And is their number better or worse than ours?

I kind of would think that unemployment would be lower here, but underployment much higher.
