Here's the latest instance of the European drought map - for the first 10 days of June. The map has moved and is now here. As you can see, Europe is having a lot less drought than the US so far this summer.
That's not to say that there's no extreme weather, however. Britain, for example, just had the wettest June on record (h/t Michael R).
Speaking for Cambridgeshire, or perhaps east-of-England, its much wetter than usual.
ReplyDeleteAlso, given its notorious rainfall, I suspect that the yellow on the W coast or Ireland is merely "a bit less rainy than usual" rather than drought.
