In the region where I don't have all data sources, I construct the average by applying the average delta from the last point where I *do* have all data sources. That way the movement of the average around when I get the later data is as little as possible. Good eye though :-)Stuart Stanifordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07182839827506265860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5235419263414453422.post-83918343238851020232011-12-20T15:00:10.107-08:002011-12-20T15:00:10.107-08:00Thanks Stuart. On the other hand, I read last week there is a diesel shortage across the upper midwest right now due to the 2MM gallons of the stuff that's being transported to ND and pumped into the Bakken shale as fracking fluid - which means that already-refined diesel coming back out of the ground there amounts to over 30% of present Bakken "oil" production.Mr. Sunshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16137274372934160799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5235419263414453422.post-64738211659502171462011-12-13T12:17:05.027-08:002011-12-13T12:17:05.027-08:00Mr Sunshine - no, but it's a miniscule fractio...Mr Sunshine - no, but it's a miniscule fraction of the input - the vast bulk of energy input to ethanol production is in the form of natural gas (for fertilizer and then as process heat for distillation).Stuart Stanifordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07182839827506265860noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5235419263414453422.post-65288115636858480062011-12-13T10:35:59.969-08:002011-12-13T10:35:59.969-08:00Thanks Stuart for this breakdown.
